To spread the word, the smartphone maker took things to Twitter, announcing the big news along with a GIF to hype up the launch.

These are part of the Xperia X series that consists of four smartphones in total, and they are the first two to roll out in the country.

Xperia XA

To start things off, the Xperia XA is the low-end variant, and needless to say, it’s the most affordable out of the bunch with a $279.99 price tag. Of course, the hardware components it has under the hood won’t be as impressive as the others, but at any rate, the handset is pretty respectable.

Going over the core specs it has in store, it features a 5-inch display with a 720 x 1,280 resolution, a Mediatek Helio P10 chip, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that’s expandable up to 256 GB with a microSD card, and to keep the lights on, it’s loaded with a 2,300 mAh battery.

For the mobile photography fans, it sports a 13 MP shooter with LED flash at the rear and an 8 MP camera at the front. Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

It’s available in Graphite Black, White, Rose Gold and Lime Gold.
