Apple Watch 2’s thinner display will change the overall design of the device. Apple Watch 2 will be 20 to 40 percent thinner than its sibling. A thinner display will create more space.

So, Apple can install a larger battery. Apple component supplier TPK Holding, has revealed that Apple will use One Glass Solution (OGS) for the display. Apple had tried  Glass on Glass solution for the Apple Watch Original.

“The change in touch panel technology involved unexpected technological difficulties and therefore yield rates for OGS touch panels were much lower than expected,”  TPK said, according to BGR. Earlier a rumor had claimed Apple Watch 2 will feature an OLED display.

Apple Watch 2: What Else Is Expected?

Apple Watch 2 will pack digital camera sensor.  “A compact digital camera that includes an image sensor such as a CMOS sensor and optical components (e.g. lenses) arranged to focus an image onto the image sensor, along with control logic operable to use the imaging components to capture and store still and/or video images,” Apple’s patent reads.

Apple Watch 2 will be equipped with ARM Cortex A32 processor, a new 32-bit Apple Watch chip, a variety of health sensors. Apple Watch 2 will also pack a magnetic wristband. In Apple’s patent, the brand has explained the wristband can be magnetically coupled around an electronic device to which it is attached.
