The company is known for its cost effective handset and will repeat the success with its upcoming handset. The new Xiaomi Mi Note will include superior hardware and will be less expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note 7 that comes with similar hardware configuration.
Xiaomi Mi Note would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 accompanied by 6GB RAM. Xiaomi could offer the new handset in two or three variants based on its internal storage. However, the base model of Mi Note 2 is supposed to have 64GB onboard storage, reported GSM Arena.
Xiaomi Note will feature 5.7-inch Super Amoled capacitive touchscreen 2160 x 3840 resolution at 773 ppi pixel density. The display will be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and will feature 3D touch as well.
The device is supposed to be fitted with 16MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. Xiaomi could replace the fingerprint reader to the front of the device. In current models fingerprint reader is located at the back. This hardware will be supported by 3,600mAh battery with fast charging feature.
The price of the device will depend on the onboard store as other specs are supposed to same in all variants. The model with 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM will cost around $375.
The upper model with 128GB internal storage will come with a $420 price tag. However, there are chances that the company will launch 32GB variant as well and will be cheaper than the 64GB variant.
If the rumors are believed to be true, the release of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will happen soon, most probably in September. According to reports, Mi Note 2 will be released on September 5.
