#iPadMini5 #iPadAir3 – iPad Air 3 Release Cancelled But iPad Mini 5 On Target? : Apple fans are patiently waiting for the release of iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5. The expectation, so far, is that both tablets will debut together at a special event after the launch of Apple’s iPhone 7 series and Apple Watch 2 in September.
However, now, a new report points to a different story altogether. So far, there has been no hint from Apple on the existence of the iPad Air 3. At least for the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and even the MacBook Pro 2016, we have been hearing rumors from the supply chain sources based on the components ordered by the tech giant.
However, there is no such news for the iPad.To top it off, the tablet market in general is very sluggish for the past couple of years. And no, this is not the case specific to the U.S. market, but across the globe. Plus, Apple tried to market the premium iPad Pro lineup as an alternative to the powerful 2-in-1 Microsoft Surface Pro series.
At this point, it’s safe to say Apple has not reached its goal yet. With so much of uncertainty plaguing the tablet market, it makes sense for Apple to be cautious in releasing the iPads. Perhaps, this is why Vine Report says the iPad Air 3 might have been dropped.
The silver lining however is that another report says the iPhone maker might package the iPad Air 2 successor as an iPad Pro variant and market it as an affordable device. In any case, the compact device iPad Mini 5 seems to be on course.
We are hearing that Apple might ditch the 16GB base model for 32GB. This slate will come with slimmer exterior and the tech giant is believed to have used 7000-series aluminum alloy, last seen in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models.
Apart from these, 3D Touch feature is also being speculated.Under the hood, the iPad Mini 5 will reportedly come powered by an Apple A9 SoC. This tablet has been rumored to house an 8MP iSight rear-facing camera unit and a modest 1.2MP front-facing shooter. In any case, readers are advised to take report with the proverbial pinch of salt as Apple has not confirmed any information thus far.
