#iOS10 #iOSNew features for the iOS 10 Messages App: Sketch, heartbeats, and more! : Thanks to Digital Touch, iOS 10 users can now send Apple Watch-styled sketches, taps, heartbeats and more right from their iPhone and iPad!

Digital Touch was one of the introductory features of the Apple Watch which allowed users to send a hand-made sketch, taps and other sensor-read things such as your own heartbeats and heartbreaks. But now with the latest iOS 10, all these cool communication options of the Apple Watch are also coming to the Messages App in iPhone and iPad.

The real thing here is that will Digital Touch on the iPhone and iPad become an attention-grabber or will it be on the middle-of-the-road? Well, that will be decided once you try it out yourself!

Now when the Messages App in iOS 10 has incorporated Digital Touch feature you first saw in Apple Watch, you will have your iPhone in the form of a canvas in front of you. This means that whatever you write, sketch or doodle on it will be sent to the conversation with the respective contact, along with an animation of how you created it.

You can do a couple of fun things with Digital Touch in your iMessages for iOS 10. Let’s have a look at the built-in actions of this amazing feature:

1.Sending a Sketch in iMessage

Now you can just swipe with one finger to sketch anything you want on the screen. This is how you will do it:

  1. Open the Messages App.
  2. Hit the Digital Touch button.

-Tap on any of the given swatches to change colors.

  1. Touch and hold (long press) the swatches to get the customized color palette.
  2. Draw your sketch on the canvas area in the center.

When using the Sketch function, you can change color as frequently as you want and draw as much as you like to, but the Sketch will be sent as soon as you stop. You can rap the “up” arrow icon in the bottom right of the screen if you want to draw on a larger area.

2.Sending a Tap in iMessage

Simply tap once to send a Tap in the conversation. With the Tap function on the Apple Watch you can ingeniously communicate with someone because whatever you send will be delivered right on the wrist of the receiver. There is no such thing with iOS 10 because Taps have a completely different meaning here. Here’s how you can send a Tap in your Messages:

  1. Open the Messages App.
  2. Hit on the Digital Touch button.

-Tap on the canvas.

You are free to “Tap” as often as you like and in any specific pattern you prefer.

Sending a Heartbeat in iMessage

Now you can even send a Heartbeat via your iPhone or iPad. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Messages App.
  2. Hit the Digital Touch button.

-Tap and hold down (long press) with two fingers on the canvas area to send a Heartbeat.

It is up to you whether you want to hold down for a longer or a short amount of time. The Heartbeat is sent as soon as you release your finger from the canvas. Source: neurogadget
