#Lumia750 #MicrosoftThis was supposed to be the Microsoft Lumia 750 : While Microsoft is still selling some Lumia smartphones, it looks like the company is getting ready to slowly phase out the brand. The last Lumia phone announced was the low-end Lumia 650 (in February), which followed the Lumia 950, 950 XL, and 550 (all three unveiled over a year ago, in October 2015).

But what happened to the Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 that were also expected to be released last year? Well, both have been cancelled. Even so, if you’re curious to know what the Lumia 750 could have been, we can now take a look at it. Evan Blas (aka @evleaks) uncovered a couple of high-res renders that show the cancelled device – codenamed Microsoft Giulin – from front and back.

According to previously leaked details, the Lumia 750 had a 5-inch 720p display – just like the Lumia 650. However, as we can see in the images below, the 750 had smaller bezels around its screen, arguably looking better than the Lumia 650.

The Lumia 750 was also supposed to be a bit more powerful than the Snapdragon 212-based Lumia 650, thanks to a Snapdragon 410 processor. The phone packed a 2650 mAh battery, further offering 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable storage space, an 8 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front-facing camera.

We don’t know why Microsoft cancelled the release of this particular device, but it may have something to do with the fact that the company wants to make Surface Phones from now on (though it looks like we won’t be seeing any of these before the second half of 2017). Source: phonearena
