Samsung Stands by Its Galaxy S7 Family, Despite Reports of Exploding Batteries : Now that we’re finished with Samsung Galaxy Note 7, we’re reporting on other devices that have been unfortunate to have their batteries fail. Be it iPhone 7, Galaxy S7 or completely other devices, it looks like reports about exploding phones have become a trend lately.
Our latest report covering such a subject have a Samsung Galaxy S7 as main start. A mechanic in Canada suffered second and third-degrees burn on his hands and wrists after his Galaxy S7 phone exploded.
But that’s not the only report that talks about Samsung smartphones that are exploding, which is why the South Korean company has decided to finally come forward with an official statement on the matter.
Even though the statement doesn’t confirm nor denies that the Galaxy S7 family has battery issues, just like the Galaxy Note 7, at least we know Samsung is concerned about these reports and tries found an explanation. You can read below Samsung’s full statement:
“Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the Galaxy S7 family. There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage.
Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident.” Basically, Samsung promises to provide customers with a more in-depth analysis of what really happened and why some of its Galaxy S7 reportedly exploded in last couple of months.
However, that won’t be possible until these exploded phones reach into Samsung’s possession so the company’s engineers can examine them thoroughly. Source: softpedia
