Consumer-Friendly HP Elite X3 Windows 10 Phone In 2017? [RUMORS]

Consumer-Friendly HP Elite X3 Windows 10 Phone In 2017? [RUMORS] : HP may be cooking up a new consumer-tier Windows 10 phone possibly coming in February 2017. The planned device will pick off from the HP Elite X3 with specs still unknown.

First glimpse of Windows 10 Phone at February 2017 event?

The rumored device will reportedly be unveiled at a special phone event set for February 2017, reported. The dish seems questionable at least for now considering there are no specs to look forward to.

But should the alleged phone come out February, it could set the stage for a possible reveal at the Mobile World Congress 2017. MWC 2017 happens in February as well so the event may take before the annual event – something similar to what Samsung does with its “Unpacked”.

The thing here is that Microsoft has not come out with an official announcement. There could be one coming in the following months, hopefully with the specs included. For now, the potential features may come close to the HP Elite X3, a phablet that carries a hefty price tag, Slash Gear reported.

What hype the HP Elite X3?

The HP Elite X3 has been touted as expensive though a closer look at the device may explain why. The hybrid phone is something meant for the business-minded folks on the go, a transformable piece that can even take the form of a desktop, Manila Bulletin reported.

That is made possible with the bundled portable docking station, a trademark of HP’s all-in-one solutions. As for the device itself, the HP Elite X3 features a 5.96-inch OLED display, running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

It also features a 16 MP main camera, 8 MP front-facing shooter and the advanced security features like an Iris and fingerprint scanner. Seeing that HP is planning a consumer-friendly phone, it could be a notch lower than what the HP Elite X3. Source: Morningnewsusa
