Ces 2017: Faraday Future’s Tesla Killer Delayed

Ces 2017: Faraday Future’s Tesla Killer Delayed : An insider from the electric car company claims meeting their January 2017 production deadline is not possible. Faraday Future is a car company which came on the map of EV (Electric Vehicles) with a bang. All indications from the company hinted at giving serious challenge to Tesla.

However a new source claims the electric car company may have faced a setback. It is possible the production of Faraday Future’s first production ready car could be delay.

Therefore the unveiling of Faraday Future’s first car may not occur at CES 2017, as was previously believed. The new source is hinting that the company may miss a shipping deadline, MailOnline reported. The new development is another one in a long list of bad news for the new company. Just a few days ago we learned Faraday Future had halted the construction of its Las Vegas factory.

The reason was a lack of financial backing and resources. The factory would have reportedly cost a $1 billion. so as of now Faraday Future does not have anywhere to mass produce its first car before releasing them into the market. The construction of the factory began back in April 2016 and at the time the Governer of Nevada Brian Sandoval had called it a new beginning. However Automotive News reported, Faraday Future is behind on a $21 million construction payment.

The new report was first issued by the Financial Times. The media agency states a former Faraday Future employee has said meeting the 2017 timeline is ‘not possible’ for the company. The car which was scheduled to be unveiled at CES 2017 was being dubbed as the ‘Tesla killer’. Previously a Faraday Future spokesperson had also hinted at trouble within the firm, when stating they are ‘refocusing efforts’ on its upcoming production vehicle. Source: i4u
