A Samsung and a Nokia phone are two of the highly anticipated smartphones of 2017. Though there has not yet been any official release of their specs and features, there is, however, a number of rumored specs and features of these devices. Price And Release Date
The Nokia Edge is rumored to have a retail price of around Rs 40,000-60,000 or roughly $600-900. It is expected to be released in April or May. As for the Samsung Galaxy S8, it price tag is said to be around $810. About its release date, it is reported to be in April. However, there have been claims that the launch date is delayed, because Samsung wants to thoroughly test the device to make sure that it does not do a Note 7 repeat.
There are no leaks yet regarding what the Nokia Edge will look like. But it is rumored to be the premium model of Nokia for the 2017 Nokia smartphones. With that being said, we can assume that it won’t be a plain-looking smartphone and it will be able to compete in terms of “futuristic look” that Apple and Samsung are gunning for.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S8, reports claim that it will most likely look similar to an iPhone without a 3.5 mm jack, but will have a USB Type-C port for headphones. It is said to feature curved edges and be almost bezel-less. There is also report indicating that it will have a dedicated button to launch its virtual assistant.
The Nokia Edge is reported to feature a 5.5-inch screen and a screen resolution of 2k with 441 PPI. The Samsung Galaxy S8 on the other hand, it is reported to feature a 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch AMOLED display, but there are also recent reports indicating that Samsung is also working on a 6-inch display which could be one of these smartphones or something entirely different. As for its screen, it will have an edge-to-edge display with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Nokia will run on the latest Android Nougat and be powered by an Octa-core processor. As for the Samsung Galaxy S8, it is expected to run on the latest Android Nougat. But for its processor, it believe to be separated into 2 models: one model will sport a Qualcomm processor and the other model will sport a Exynos 8895 processor that will be featured in Samsung Galaxy S8 phones sold in India.
